What your licence really costs in Backnang
We publish every price — and we separate what you pay us from the fees that go to the TÜV, the licensing authority and your optician. Every driving school passes those on identically.

What is fixed for you
* Plus the one-off registration fee of 179 €. Every driving school charges it and it is due when you register.
Official fees from TÜV, the Landratsamt and opticians come on top and are paid directly to those bodies.
On top of that come the practice lessons: 72 € per lesson

When do you pay what?
The total above is never due at once. It spreads across the whole training — and the largest item you pay lesson by lesson.
- When you register199 €Base fee and learning app. We submit the application to the Landratsamt for you.
- During the training72 € per lessonEach practice lesson individually, after each drive or collected — depending on how often you drive. Spread over six to ten weeks.
- Towards the end1.080 €The twelve special drives required by law.

There is no advance payment of the total. You pay for what you have actually used.
Nobody can seriously predict how many lessons you will need — that depends on you, on how much you practise and a little on the day. Writing a wishful number into a total would be guesswork. So we show you what is fixed, and honestly, next to it, the price per lesson.
For orientation: the German average is around 35 practice lessons. With us that comes to 2.520 €. How many it will be for you, we tell you during the training — not at the start.

All prices are final prices including VAT.
In addition there are official fees you pay directly to TÜV SÜD, the Landratsamt Rems-Murr-Kreis, your optician and the first aid provider. Those bodies set their own amounts — they are not our revenue.
